What White Friday is in the UAE
White Friday is the UAE's version of Black Friday. Souq.com renamed it in 2014, because Friday is a holy day across the Gulf, and the name stuck after Amazon bought Souq. Retailers now use their own colours: noon runs Yellow Friday, Amazon.ae and Namshi call it White Friday, and a few stores use Black Friday.
Whatever the name, the pattern is the same: about ten days of discounts in the last week of November, peaking on the Friday itself, and ending with Cyber Monday deals on electronics and software.
What happened last year
- noon Yellow Friday 2025 ran from 20 to 30 November, with up to 80% off across categories and some items up to 90% off. noon Food added meals from Dh1.
- Namshi's White Friday 2025 peaked around 28 November, with up to 80% off fashion, shoes and home.
- Amazon.ae ran White Friday deals over the same week, with extra offers for Prime members.
Expect a similar shape in 2026: early deals from about 20 November, the biggest drops on Friday 27 November, and a final round on Cyber Monday, 30 November.
How to get the most from it
- Make a list now and note today's prices. Some "discounts" are measured against a price that was raised in October. If you know the normal price, you'll know whether the deal is real.
- Check your bank card. Emirates NBD, ADCB, FAB, Mashreq and others usually add an extra 10 to 15% on noon, Amazon.ae and Namshi during the sale, often with a cap. It is frequently worth more than a promo code.
- Decide on Tabby or Tamara before you buy. Splitting a big purchase into four payments costs nothing if you pay on time, but late fees apply. Check that the store supports it at checkout.
- Use a membership for free delivery. Amazon Prime (AED 16 a month) and noon One remove delivery fees and often unlock early access. One month can pay for itself in a single order.
- Stack where it's allowed. Most stores allow one promo code per order on top of sale prices, but some exclude marked-down items. Our store pages show the exclusions for each code.
- Order early for gifts. Delivery takes longer during sale week, especially for large items and outside Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
What's usually worth buying
- Phones, laptops and TVs: the deepest discounts are often on last year's models. Compare with Sharaf DG and Amazon.ae, not just noon.
- Home appliances and kitchen gadgets: air fryers, vacuums and coffee machines see some of the biggest real cuts.
- Fashion and shoes: Namshi, Ounass and noon fashion run their largest sales of the year.
- Beauty gift sets: a good time to buy ahead of the December holidays.
- Groceries in bulk: Carrefour and noon run household-essentials deals that are worth stocking up on.
